The following are a sampling of Lars and Jennifer's more popular slide shows and talks:

Sweden
A Year by the River
Lars transports the audience to the banks of Idsjöströmmen, his beloved grayling river, and tells its story through the seasons. Beginning in the dark cold days of January, moving into spring when grayling migrate to the river to spawn, then watching the river burst with life as grayling and fishermen meet during the fishing season (June-September), this slide show brings new appreciation for a river that has been restored by dedicated conservation efforts into one of the world's most successful catch-and-release fisheries.

Life, Love, and a River in Sweden
Jennifer tells the story of how she found herself fishing the waters of Idsjöströmmen and living in the rural village of Gimdalen. Through slides and selected readings from her book, Fly Fishing the River of Second Chances, the audience is treated to an international adventure told with grace, humor, and an affection for a river and a place time almost forgot.

A River Returns
Lars and Jennifer present this original program about the restoration of Idsjöströmmen, its early days as the first catch-and-release river in Scandinavia, and what a fly fisher can experience today. Lars and Jennifer
weave the story of Idsjöströmmen with tales of life in the charming rural village where they live every June-September.

Slough Creek
Cowboys & Cutthroats
Saddle up and ride into the Yellowstone Park's back country to camp and fish for native cutthroat trout. Lars and Jennifer have made this particular fishing experience an annual trek for over five years. Obviously, the wily cutthroat is a character with selective tastes—first of all it had the good sense to reside in Yellowstone Park; secondly, it can be a tricky fish to catch. Fun and informative with spectacular scenery.

England
Birthplace of the Dry Fly and Nymph
England is the home of legendary chalk streams and legendary fly fishermen who made them famous. On the Test, F. M. Halford, H.S. Hall, and G.S. Marryat developed the dry fly and dry fly fishing. On the Itchen G.E.M. Skues reintroduced the wet fly, later discovered nymphs, tied and successfully fished them for 56 years with his famous Leonard rod. The riverkeeper, Frank Sawyer spent his entire life in the Avon Valley, studying the river, learning about water quality, fish and insect life. There he also perfected his Nether-Avon style of nymph fishing. This program will take you to English waters where dry fly and nymph fishing began. Informative, and offers a unique opportunity to see rare footage of Frank Sawyer (Lars fishing with him during several visits made on the Avon from 1968–1975.

Missouri River
A River for the Fly Fisher's Heart
The Missouri River "The Mighty Mo" is one of the best trout rivers in the west. The rainbows and browns are selective, big, and hard fighting—all this in the middle of spectacular mountain scenery. The Missouri has become one of Lars and Jennifer's favorite rivers, especially in the fall. A program about fly-fishing technique as much as it is about a place of beauty.

Dame Juliana
What a Dame!
You may have heard about the legendary nun, Dame Juliana Berners, credited with writing, Treatise of Fishing with an Angle in 1450 (the first book recording the sport of fishing with a fly), but did she really write it? And did you know that according to a scientific study women catch more fish because of pheromones emitted from the pores on their hands? Jennifer discusses these stories and shares other outrageous tales and contributions women have made to the sport of fly fishing. Entertaining, Fun!

Fly Tying and Entomology

What Tie for the Fly and Why?
Fly tying and entomology come together in Lars's program/demonstration. He presents an overview of the life cycles of common aquatic insects (if you're lucky he will amuse you with his imitation of stoneflies, caddis, and mayflies in flight) and how trout feed upon them. Lars incorporates a historic view of successful fly patterns, the relationship of fly patterns to aquatic insect life, and the stories behind their development and use. A fly tying demo follows as Lars ties his famous Gim River series of flies that he designed and developed. He also demonstrates the spinning block and its ease of use for creating dubbed bodies.
